The Edge O' Beyond, a play by Roy Horniman and Ruby Miller, adapted from the 1908 novel of the same name by Gertrude Page, was seen at the Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne, on 20 June 1921 prior to its opening at the Garrick, London, on 9 August following. Basil Rathbone played Dr. Lawson, and Doris Lloyd the part of Joyce. The piece eventually ran for 192 performances. In dramatic form, The Edge O' Beyond was originally a film, made in England in 1919, with Miss Miller and Mr Lindsay as Dinah and Egerton, and Owen Nares as Lawson and Isobel Elsom as Joyce.
