The first English production of Messager's comic opera The Little Michus was first seen at Daly's Theatre, London, where it opened on 29 April 1905. The leading parts of Blanche Marie and Marie Blanche were played on that occasion respectively by Adrienne Augarde and Mabel Green. During the play's long run of 400 performances Alice Hatton was also seen as Blanche Marie, and Denise Orme and Thelma Raye as Marie Blanche. Other members of the first night cast included Willie Edouin (succeeded by George Graves) as General des Ifs, Robert Evett as Gaston Rigaud, Louis Bradfield as Aristide Vert, Huntley Wright (succeeded by James Blakeley and Jack Cannot) as Bagnolet, and Amy Augarde as Mme. Michu.

George Graves was also in the New York production of The Little Michus when it opened at the Garden Theatre on 31 January 1907.
