an advertising flyer featuring José Collins as Teresa for the 1,000th and 1,001st performances of
The Maid of the Mountains,
Daly's Theatre, London, Midsummer Day, 24 June 1919

'The Maid of the Mountains happily has secured a place as one of the world's best-known Musical comedies. Its record at Daly's Theatre – a Theatre of Record Runs – is 1352 continuous performances. In addition to successful tours throughout the United Kingdom it has been performed throughout the United States of America, Canada, South Africa, Australia and, in fact, most of the countries of the world. To Miss José Collins is due to a very considerable degree the success which the play has obtained, but its delightful music has also contributed to its wonderful popularity.'
(Music For All, no.11, vol.2, George Newnes Ltd, London, August 1923, p.140)
